Improved ferroelectricity and ferromagnetism of Eu-modified BiFeO3–BaTiO3 lead-free multiferroic ceramics

摘要: Multiferroic ceramics of 0.75Bi1−xEuxFeO3–0.25BaTiO3 + 1 mol% MnO2 were synthesized by a conventional solid state reaction method and the effects Eu doping on microstructure, ferroelectric, ferromagnetic piezoelectric properties investigated. All exhibit pure perovskite structure without any secondary phases. After addition Eu3+ ions, crystal is transformed from rhombohedral to tetragonal phase at x = 0.025. The ferroelectricity ferromagnetism are improved. For ceramic with 0.025, optimum remanent polarization 18.3 μC/cm2 good piezoelectricity 82 pC/N obtained. saturated magnetization Ms magnetism Mr improved 165 141 % increasing 0 0.175, respectively.
