摘要: Information on the burden of tuberculosis (TB)-HIV co-infection is critical for planning and evaluation TB-HIV control treatment strategies. This study assessed current practices in countries European Union (EU) Economic Area (EEA) monitoring HIV TB surveillance systems, countries' associated clinical practice. An online survey was distributed to all national nominated Centre Disease Prevention Control contact points EU/EEA. We received 25 responses from 30 (83% response rate). Patients' status collected 18 out usually via clinician reporting (16 systems). Although most recommended routine testing patients HIV, proportion actually tested varied 5% 90%. The found be elevated with higher levels prevalence HIV. suggest that monitored EU/EEA facilitate Strengthening collaboration between clinicians departments, consideration patient confidentiality restraints would advantageous. level low despite recommendations should further promoted monitored.
