摘要: In Tasmanian waters, fish were the most prevalent prey taxa in diet of Arctocephalus pusillus dorlferus, with cephalopods occurring less frequently. Occurrence crustaceans and birds was negligible. Most remains obtained from regurgitates, whereas faeces provided remains. Twenty-five species identified faecal regurgitate samples, redbait (Emmelichthys nitidus), jack mackerel (Trachurus declivis) leatherjackets (Monacanthidae) constituting main species. There an inverse relationship between occurrence that samples Bass Strait, predominating winter summer. Size estimates indicated mainly adult squid eaten. contained a single species, suggesting use monospecific aggregations items.
