摘要: Vaccination of hens against influenza leads to the transfer protective maternally-derived antibodies (MDA) hatchlings. However, little is known about H7N3 vaccine-induced MDA. Here, we evaluated transfer, duration, and effect MDA in chickens HPAIV. To generate with (MDA (+)), 15-week-old White Leghorn were vaccinated boosted twice an inactivated low pathogenic avian virus vaccine, adjuvanted Montanide ISA 71 VG. One week after final boost, eggs hatched. Eggs from non-vaccinated hatched for without (−)). Both (+) (−) hatchlings monitored weekly antibody levels. Anti-HA detected by hemagglutination inhibition assay mostly until day 7 post-hatch. anti-nucleoprotein still three weeks Three post-hatch, challenged 106 EID50/bird Mexican-origin Interestingly, while 0% survived challenge, 95% survived. Furthermore, shedding was significantly reduced 5 post-challenge group. In conclusion, confers partial protection mortality upon challenge HPAIV, as far even absence detectable anti-HA antibodies, reduce challenge.
