摘要: Three fuel rods containing hollow mixed oxide (MOX) pellets of uranium and plutonium oxides were fabricated irradiated at a high linear heat rate (LHR) to burn-up nearly 30,000 MWd/t in the experimental fast rector, JOYO MK-II. After irradiation, one rod was examined by X-ray CT conventional nondestructive destructive methods.Swelling evaluated both dimensional change radial density distribution. There no differences between types results it concluded that swelling can be detail technique without dismantling assembly. In addition, same as values reported for solid pellets. LHR higher than pellets, but fission gas release rates same.
