摘要: Sulphide layers were prepared on the surface of AISI 1045 steel by ion sulphurization. The anti-scuffing, friction-reducing, and wear-resistant behavior these sulphurized surfaces investigated systematically using a ball-on-disc wear tester with engine oil as lubricant. SEM, EDX, XPS, AES used to examine morphologies compositions scars boundary films. improved anti-scuffing properties remarkably at low sliding velocities, exhibited good friction-reducing effects. During friction sulphide layer promoted growth oxide, iron could be decomposed regenerated form FeS again rubbing surface. An appropriately thick optimizes sulphur-to-oxygen concentration in film resulting highest load-bearing capacity, shows that thicker are unnecessary.
