摘要: Sugarcane smut, caused by the fungus Ustilago scitaminea, was reported for first time in Queensland on 8 June 2006. The initial finding near Childers cultivar Q205. smut found Western Australia 1998, but contained that state and considered to be eligible inclusion as a pest under Government Plant Industry Cost Sharing Deed Respect of Emergency Pest Responses (EPP deed). emergency response incursion coordinated Department Primary Industries Fisheries, CANEGROWERS BSES Limited followed PLANTPLAN generic plan. eligibility funding arrangements EPP deed National Management Group, who met several times, August 2006 they failed agree funding. delay coming this decision left growers industry doubt about available activities such destruction infested fields.
