摘要: Guidance schemes are designed to approximate the optimal survival and performance paths through downbursts, which were determined in previous paper. Specifically, climb-rate command following is used achieve performance, altitude enhance survivability. Nonlinear simulations conducted investigate effects of command. Takeoff flight considered full thrust assumed. In a mild moderate downburst, an aircraft can follow constant, smaller-than-nominal climb rate without stall. Better capability achieved by climbing at lower accompanied altitude, vice versa. severe must descend avoid The farther it descends, higher capability, but poorer performance. If downburst very severe, best strategy immediately lowest safe altitude. Since intensity downbursts hard evaluate prior penetration, advisable keep high airspeed. Therefore, use recommended that employs maximum allows minimum upon entering on takeoff.
