摘要: The preferential incorporation of carboxylic acids into aragonite and its effects on the crystal growth physicochemical properties were systematically investigated using a seeded co-precipitation system with different (citric, malic, acetic, glutamic, phthalic). Aragonite synthesized in presence citric malic showed remarkable decrease crystallinity size crystallite, retardation distinctively changed morphology. contents acid samples 0.65 wt % 0.19 %, respectively, revealing that changes due to such acids. Speciation modeling further confirmed three carboxyl groups dominantly existed as metal–ligand, (Ca–citrate)−, which could have strong affinity toward partially positively charged surface aragonite. This indicates why was most favorably incorporated among other Our results demonstrate number functional strongly affects aragonite; however, it be suppressed by or structural complexity organic molecules.
