Eutrophication and Seasonal Variation of Water Quality in Masan-Jinhae Bay

摘要: Water quality of Masan-Jinhae Bay was monitored from January 1996 to August 1997. The monitoring focused on the spatial and vertical gradients seasonal changes eutrophication parameters such as nutrients, DO water transparency. Flagellate phytoplanktons persistently bloomed April October with monospecific or mixed algal blooms dynamic successions were observed in this area. Algal highly correlated salinity drops made less transparent. Stratification oxygen content persistent through summer oligo-oxygenation developed bottom waters. Nutrient consistently maintained depth distribution inner Masan outer Jinhae winter. Except rainfall seasons, under influence waste waters discharged watershed around Bay. would act primary factor for deterioration bay. Literature data gathered analyzed review trends bays since 1970.
