摘要: Geoscientists use plate tectonics to explain many aspects of both continental evolution and the planet as a whole. The subduction material at convergent boundaries forms fundamental component theory tectonics. Plates, continents, zones, spreading centers all exhibit motion geometric evolution, so try resolve past geometries planet, geologists have utilized tectonic reconstructions. Here we present three-dimensional image subducted Indo-Australian below southeast Asia show that geometry slab depth is intimately related SE over 50 Ma, including collision India with Asian continent. We how once semicontinuous subducting has been segmented during between India, Australian, margin north. Thus found should form key interpretation Earth's surface, complexities are manifest in overriding plate.
