摘要: The exploitation of X-band imagery is currently being used in the field agriculture for discrimination crop types and also recently addressed challenging tasks such as surface roughness soil moisture retrieval. We investigated potential multi-temporal COSMO-SkyMed data monitoring Natura 2000 habitats alpine region. Short revisit time available VHR synthetic aperture radar instruments (like TerraSAR-X, etc.) their all-weather (day/night) image acquisition capability provides an additional advantage continuous nature conservation sites particular which are small size. Preliminary analysis VV VH signals indicates a predominant effect attenuation with respect to volume contribution expected case reduced penetration capabilities canopy. Significant changes mainly ascribed grazing/mowing event reduces canopy layer then signal attenuation. final results agreement ancillary (Normalized Vegetation Index (NDVI)) management rule record present
