摘要: Sentinel node (SN) biopsy in breast cancer is still a crucial stage of evaluation. Many teams have obtained excellent results using this method, with detection rate always higher than 90% and false negative between 0 8%, prospective series. The main question to know if lymphadenectomy can now be avoided when the SN negative. answer will come from two ongoing trials comparing sentinel axillary lymphadenectomy. But their available only or three years. However, many teams, as at Institute Gustave Roussy, are applying technique routinely, because during learning curve. there some methodological differences which influence rates. Thus, several standards remain defined. This review enable us clarify certain number questions. Today, performed by trained evaluation participation phase III trials.
