摘要: Background: The aetiology of uremic restless legs syndrome (RLS) remains unclear. Our research investigated whether an elevated plasma concentration the excitatory amino acid homocysteine might be associated with RLS occurrence in patients chronic renal insufficiency on hemodialysis. Methods: Total as well creatinine, urea, folate, parathyroid hormone, hemoglobin, iron, ferritin, phosphate, calcium, magnesium, and albumin levels were compared between 26 RLS-affected (RLSpos) non-affected (RLSneg) We further subjective sleep quality RLSpos RLSneg using Pittsburgh-Sleep-Quality-Index possible relationships laboratory parameters quality. Results: Taking individual concentrations into account, a significant positive correlation total was observed (r= 0.246; p=0.045). Sleep significantly more reduced to severity correlated positively impairment Bad all higher hormone. Conclusion: results suggest aetiological role RLS. They confirm that is important factor causing Higher hormone also bad these patients.
