摘要: Abstract The present experiment was conducted to evaluate probiotic effect of Lactobacillus plantarum on giant freshwater prawn, Macrobrachium rosenbergii . A 90-day feeding trial by prawn juveniles (mean weight ± SE: 0.54 ± 0.03 g) with three experimental diets prepared supplementing basal diet (Crude protein: 38%; Gross energy: 387 kcal 100 g − 1 ) different concentrations probiotics bacteria viz. T1 (10 7 cfu g diet), T2 8 T3 9 diet) and control (unsupplemented diet). In the study, growth parameters WG% SGR feed utilization FCE, FCR PER increased significantly (P 0.05). carcass protein content sp. count However, decreased A. hydrophila challenge in all groups except for T1, where PO RB activity did not improve (P > 0.05) compared control. Among groups, though improvement immune highest 0.05) observed between T3. results obtained from study indicate that L. can be used host associated microflora, growth, efficiency, biochemical composition response M. laboratory condition. Moreover, a dose significant therefore, studies further higher concentration should its efficient commercial level field application.
