摘要: To investigate the transformation of retinal image velocity into smooth pursuit eye velocity, movements were measured in presence two moving targets. In first experiment, targets identical all respects except for direction motion, and monkey was not cued to attend either target. this elicited by vector average response evoked each target alone. subsequent experiments, we examined effects stimulus task parameters on selectivity pursuit. When made different colors monkeys color rewarded target, their biased but still showed a substantial influence nonrewarded (distractor). It did matter whether same used an entire session or randomized from trial trial. Reducing uncertainty about axis motion also had little effect. However, pattern appeared have effect; radial favored averaging, winner-take-all found only with nonradial motion. We conclude that sensorimotor interface uses flexible decision rule can vary continuously averaging winner-take-all. present simple recurrent network model reflects range behavior. The has allowed us identify three computational elements (selection bias, competitive inhibition, normalization) should be taken consideration future models
