Symbolic Interdependence and Post-Break-Up Distress:: A Reformulation of the Attachment Construct

摘要: The attachment construct has been held as the principle means for explaining variation in impact of relationship disruption. criticized recently and there is evidence that theorists would welcome its reformulation. In present study reformulated an outcome "symbolic interdependence," organismic describing extent to which a couple constructed shared view world. Predictions follow from this reformulation were tested longitudinal break-ups within sample premarital couples.
