摘要: Abstract The late Quaternary to Recent Ostracoda of the Ponto-Caspian region, defined here as Aral, Caspian and Black seas, play a fundamental role in our understanding geological hydrological evolution these three large water bodies. Together with sedimentological geochemical records, ostracods provide evidence for both natural (climate-influenced) man-made environmental change. All seas possess ostracod faunas that are closely related, Sea elements probably isolated remnants Neogene Paratethys fauna while Aral comprises much younger introduced from basins east.
