摘要: The absolute incidence of esophageal adenocarcinoma has increased 7-fold over the past 5 decades, and is most rapidly increasing epithelial malignancy in United States. early cancer also proportionately. In decade, radiofrequency ablation become standard first-line therapy for high-grade dysplasia when found precursor lesion to adenocarcinoma, Barrett's esophagus. Success endoscopic management furthered efforts treat cancers endoscopically. Although surgery remains mainstay treatment more advanced tumors, national guidelines now recommend mucosal resection followed by intramucosal carcinomas T1a cancers. T1b represent a challenging group-very good results have been reported highly selected subsets patients with tumors; however, many recommendations favor individualization or surgical approach this stage. This review examines current data regarding adenocarcinomas.
