摘要: Visual evaluation of the optic nerve has been one earliest and most widely used methods to evaluate patients for glaucoma. Photography proven very useful documentation nerve's appearance at a given time, allowing more detailed scrutiny then, later comparison change. serves as basis real-time or non-simultaneous review in telemedicine screening events fundus by experts elsewhere. Expert disc photographs shown diagnostic performance similar other Newer technology made photography simpler, cheaper portable creating opportunities broader utilization underserved populations non-physicians. Recent investigations suggest that non-physicians software algorithms photograph have promise allow be done with fewer experts.
