摘要: Abstract : A finite element approach to model stress distributions in coated solids is developed. The personal computer based PC-ANSYS code used implement the on a system. three types of boundary loading considered are an elliptical normal pressure distribution, shear distribution proportional pressure, and thermal flux surface shear. predictions validated against classical Hertz theory plane strain solution obtained independently by well established Fourier transform approaches. deviations from other available solutions found be less than 1%. Parametric results establish practical significance modeling for optimization coating thickness, materials selection, development application techniques procedures ensure acceptable 'break-away' stresses at coating/substrate interface. Extension complex dimensional contacts demonstrated rectangular contact over semi-infinite solid. This preliminary three-dimensional model, along with two-dimensional parametric demonstrate technical feasibility overall approach. In addition, provide strong analytical foundation more rigorous sophisticated models, wide range applications. (js)
