摘要: The development and use of a noninvasive technique to monitor the acoustic emissions (AEs) generated during oedometric compression coarse-grained soil are documented. Technique implementation is described with aid experiments conducted on sands contrasting grain features. Results indicate that proposed capable capturing onset characteristic stress-strain behavior regimes exhibited by loading. clarity such capture is, however, dependent amplitude AE relative background noise and, as such, type. anticipated in enhancing fundamental study at high stresses may find potential realm penetrometer-based stratigraphy characterization.
