摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses itinerant electron metamagnetism of Co sublattice in the lanthanide-cobalt intermetallics. The first-order transition (FOT) is observed several (R-Co) intermetallics under effect varying external parameters and internal parameters. occurs between a nonmagnetic or low-induced moment state ferromagnetic state. phenomenon called (IEM). various models to describe IEM are discussed. At beginning, basic concepts band theory describing magnetically uniform states presented. Then, role volume effects spin fluctuation on metamagnetic behavior also briefly introduced. magnetic properties systems consisting both electrons localized spins formulated basis s-d model. experimental overview given. section consists three major parts.
