摘要: PURPOSE: To measure outer segment phagocytosis in cultures of Royal College Surgeons (RCS) rat retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) that have been treated with carbachol. Carbachol treatment RCS RPE results an increase the second messenger inositol triphosphate, which mimics observed normal after interaction rod segments (ROS). METHODS: Cultures were phagocytically challenged isolated ROS for 2 hours. (1 mM) was added to some stimulate triphosphate synthesis, and incubation continued 30 minutes at 37 degrees C. Inositol concentration measured by radioreceptor assay. Bound ingested quantified double immunofluorescent staining. Ingestion membranes confirmed electron microscopy immunogold RESULTS: associated a rapid temporary levels. carbachol showed significantly higher ingestion (34%) compared untreated (9%) (P < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Exposure cultured increases intracellular enhances bound ROS. These support hypothesis phagocytic defect is related abnormality generation as recognition binding.
