摘要: This paper investigates whether World Bank conditionality is affected by the presence of “new” donors using panel data for 54 African countries over 1980 to 2013 period. Empirical results indicate that delivers loans with significantly fewer conditions recipient which are assisted China. Less stringent also observed in better off borrowers addition funded Kuwait and United Arab Emirates, but this effect vanishes after start new millennium. In contrast, is rarely aid inflows from DAC donors, when it is, revised upwards. These findings suggest might be perceived as an attractive financial option reacts offering credits less restrictively order remain competitive loan-giving market.
