摘要: Organic electrode materials are very attractive for electrochemical energy storage devices because they can be flexible, lightweight, low cost, benign to the environment, and used in a variety of device architectures. They not mere alternatives more traditional materials, rather, have potential lead disruptive technologies. Although organic progressed recent years, there still significant challenges overcome before reaching large-scale commercialization. This review provides an overview systems as whole, metrics that quantify performance electrodes, strategies been investigated associated with use computational chemistry design study new their properties. Design examined issues capacity/capacitance, voltage, rate capability, cycling stability order guide future work area. The cost is highlighted direction towards commercial realization.
