摘要: Abstract With the growing interest in using technique of index decomposition analysis (IDA) energy and energy-related emission studies, such as to analyze impacts activity structure change or track economy-wide efficiency trends, conventional single-level IDA may not be able meet certain needs policy analysis. In this paper, some limitations studies which can addressed through applying multilevel are discussed. We then introduce compare two procedures, referred multilevel-parallel (M-P) model multilevel-hierarchical (M-H) model. The former uses a similar procedure IDA, while latter stepwise procedure. Since is new literature, applicability popular methods M-H discussed cases where modifications needed explained. Numerical examples application consumption data US China presented.
