摘要: Because there is no ideal therapy for burns infected with Pseudomonas aeruginosa, sufficient need to investigate the efficacy of alternative antipseudomonal interventions. Honey an ancient wound remedy which modern evidence in treatment burn wounds, but limited effectiveness its antibacterial activity against Pseudomonas. We tested sensitivity 17 strains P. aeruginosa isolated from two honeys different types activity, a pasture honey and manuka honey, both median levels activity. All showed similar minimum inhibitory concentrations below 10% (vol/vol); maintained bactericidal when diluted more than 10-fold. proven has potential be effective option or at risk infection aeruginosa.
