摘要: We investigated the differences between 2 gonial angle (GA) size groups with respect to morphometry and quantitative bone mineral content (QBMC) of mandibles all teeth erupted normal occlusion. used 19 dried that were obtained from an Indian population stored in our department. These at Hellman's developmental dental stage VA divided into low (LGA) (GA ≤ 120°; 8 specimens; 16 sides) high (HGA) ≥ 125°; 11 22 groups. After lateral radiography using a titanium step wedge, linear measurements QBMC determined, on hard copies digital images, respectively. The age sex cadavers which specimens belonged unknown. mandibular cortical width (MCW) antegonial notch depth LGA group significantly larger than those HGA group. No significant difference was found distribution 3 categories index (MCI) or trabecular contents (CBMC TBMC). GA negatively moderately associated MCW point AG (MCWAG), but not either variable for CBMC TBMC. results suggested these stage-VA influenced changes inferior cortex morphology notch. did influence under mental foramen mandible had negative associations MCWAG.
