Health-related quality of life, treatment adherence and psychosocial support in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension or chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension

摘要: Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) and chronic thromboembolic pulmonary (CTEPH) share similar quality of life impairment. The aim the present study was to investigate health-related (HRQoL) its relation perception treatment psychosocial support among PAH CTEPH patients. All adult or patients in Swedish Arterial Hypertension Register were invited participate a national cohort survey. survey included EuroQol 5-dimensions (EQ-5D) instrument that measures an individual's HRQoL; Beliefs about Medicines Questionnaire-Specific Scale assesses PAH-specific treatment; Mastery scale evaluates feeling control ability cope with disease; Social Network Support maps social network. Of 440 patients, 74% responded. Mean age 66 ± 14 years, 58% female 69% diagnosed PAH. Patients younger, more often had lower EQ-5D index (0.67 0.29 vs. 0.73 0.25, p = 0.050) than CTEPH. low concerns ( 0.004), coping < 0.001), less emotional 0.003) accessible network 0.002). In conclusion, impaired HRQoL also reported negative effects on their network, handle stressors treatment.
