Optimal design of broadband long period grating-based LP01↔LP02 mode converters for dispersion compensation

摘要: Dispersion compensation with higher order mode is emerging as a promising technique that can provide full dispersion and slope for long distance high bit rate system. Long period grating-based LP01↔LP02 converters are designed in the wavelength region of 1550 nm this purpose. The simulated have large bandwidth conversion efficiencies over 99% estimated figure merit 309 ps/(nm dB). negative −124 km) obtained (@20 dB) 58 relative 0.008/nm.
