摘要: Homogeneous catalysis in room-temperature ionic liquids (ILs) constitutes a most interesting field of research with high potential technical applications. As concerns the hydrogenation unsaturated hydrocarbons, Wilkinson's compound RhCl(PPh(3))(3) represents catalyst that provides selectivity and activity. Herein, we demonstrate application infrared spectroscopy to quantitative analysis Wilkinson IL 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium acetate ([EMIM][OAc]). Our study demonstrates for first time quantitative, accurate reproducible determination concentration rhodium by means IR and, moreover, allows investigation intermolecular interactions. Spectral features, located mainly fingerprint region spectrum, are identified revealing influence dissolved on IL's vibrational structure. In particular, ring-bending mode imidazolium ring shows frequency shift as function concentration, probably due hydrogen-bond formation between cation Rh complex. The results show both quick process control technology catalytic processes tool better understanding IL-catalyst
