Identifying the research focus of Library and Information Science institutions in China with institution-specific keywords

摘要: In order to distinguish the research focus between different Library and Information Science (LIS) institutions in China, we use Keyword Activity Index (KAI) identify their institution-specific keywords. The KAI, whose idea is borrowed from Index, measures whether an institution has alternatively comparative advantage a particular topic according its share publications. this study, total of 65,653 papers 19 core LIS journals China during period 2000---2013 are collected. top 8 most prolific selected for further investigation utility KAI. Their keywords extracted based on KAI values represent then clustered using co-word analysis; advantages each analyzed compared these clusters. reasons function background.
