摘要: A novel purple nonsulfur bacterium strain NKPB030619, which has resistance to over 5 mM selenite, was isolated from a marine environment. An initial concentration of 1.1 added the medium, decreased under 0.05 within days. The color cell suspension turned red 2 coloration gradually and black precipitates appeared during weeks cultivation. Under these conditions, two main types deposit were formed extracellularly. These deposits thought contain amorphous selenium vitreous selenium. selenite reduction elemental in this induced by introduction light l-malic acid anaerobic conditions. results suggest that is coupled with photosynthesis can serve as indirect electron donor for its reduction. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rDNA sequence showed NKPB0360619 belongs α subdivision Proteobacteria classified into Rhodobacter species. highest similarity 86.2% observed R. sphaeroides.
