摘要: Psychiatric, physical and biological aspects of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) may be associated with dysfunctions in several cellular processes including nitric oxide (NO) production. NO is synthesized from arginine a reaction carried out by synthase (NOS) enzymes. The recently introduced "global bioavailability ratio" (GABR; ratio to [ornithine+ citrulline]) has been proposed as reliable approximation synthetic capacity vivo. objectives the present study were test hypotheses that (i) subjects combat-related PTSD have lower GABR scores than combat controls, (ii) score inversely severity psychopathological measures, (iii) markers inflammation.
