Theory of non-linear optical response in C60, C70, and higher fullerenes

摘要: Abstract Non-linear optical properties in the fullerene C 60 and extracted higher fullerenes, 70 , 76 78 84 are theoretically investigated. Magnitudes of off-resonant third-order susceptibility calculated by exciton formalism sum-over-states method. We find that non-linearities fullerenes a few times larger than those . The magnitudes non-linearity tend to increase as gap decreases fullerenes. Relations with experiments discussed.
