摘要: To date the formation of ruby deposits and link it to regional metamorphism associated with Tertiary Himalayan orogenesis, 40Ar39Ar stepwise heating experiments were performed on single grains phlogopite syngenetic ruby, zircon inclusions in spinel dated UPb method by ion-probe. The ArAr ages phlogopites are Oligocene (24.7 ± 0.3 Ma) at Jegdalek Afghanistan; Miocene Mogok Myanmar (18.7 0.2 17.1 Ma), Hunza Pakistan (10.8 5.4 Chumar Nepal (5.6 0.4 Ma); Pliocene (4.6 0.1 Ruyil Nepal. In Vietnam, a included from Quy Chau deposit yielded 238U206Pb age 53.8 4.6 Ma, whereas Red River shear zone, formed around 4036 Ma during ductile deformation under peak metamorphic conditions. obtained this study agreement those previously published for ruby-bearing belts document extensional tectonics tha...
