摘要: The allelopathic potential of exudates from the aquatic macrophyte Stratiotes aloides on growth phytoplankton was investigated. A selection species, occurring in habitats similar to that Stratiotes, used: two cyanobacterial strains (toxic and non-toxic Microcystis aeruginosa), one green alga (Scenedesmus obliquus) eustigmatophyte (Nannochloropsis limnetica). results indicate effects six eight cases, expressed an extended duration initial biovolume doubling time. overall inhibitory effect (8–51%) strain-specific for cyanobacteria. We also studied irradiance Stratiotes. Irradiance influenced response Scenedesmus only. this stronger at 35 mmol m � 2 s 1 than 105 . conclude has phytoplankton, can, but does not always determine extent inhibition.
