摘要: An assessment of marine elapid snakes found 9% elapids are threatened with extinction, and an additional 6% Near Threatened. A large portion (34%) is Data Deficient. analysis distributions revealed the greatest species diversity in Southeast Asia northern Australia. Three seven occur at Ashmore Hibernia Reefs Timor Sea, while remaining taxa Philippines, Niue, Solomon Islands. The majority Deficient Asia. Threats to include loss coral reefs coastal habitat, incidental bycatch fisheries, as well fisheries that target for leather. presence two Critically Endangered one Sea suggests area particular conservation concern. More rigorous, long-term monitoring populations needed evaluate success "conservation measures" snake species, provide scientifically based guidance determining harvest quotas, assess many species.
