摘要: This paper analyses the eligibility of different types biomass energy projects in developing countries for funding under Kyoto Protocol's Clean Development Mechanism and related funds. Specifically, GHG emission reductions through replacement non-renewable with renewable energy, or improvement efficiency systems based on biomass, is discussed more detail, as it currently difficult if not impossible these to qualify CDM current rules. These problems are caused by categorical exclusion land-use from (with exception afforestation reforestation projects). The offers some possible solutions both small-scale large-scale projects. limitations hold a number carbon covers major funds operated World Bank that already operational, point out differences between existing order identify best opportunities sources technologies. systematic, comparative analysis characteristics terms eligible technologies, geographical foci, size (targets completed ongoing transactions, CO2 equivalents, project asset values). To provide context funds, regulatory drivers frameworks influencing demand side market discussed. first its kind specifics regarding bioenergy enables decision makers managers active planning become area, target most promising their specific purposes.
