摘要: BACKGROUND: Migration research is in rapid expansion and increasingly based on sophisticated satellite-tracking devices subject to constant technological refinement, but still ripe with descriptive studies need of meta-analyses looking for emergent generalisations. In particular, coexistence different frequency location sampling spatial accuracy generates doubts data compatibility, potentially preventing meta-analyses. We used a migratory raptor to: (1) test whether frequencies position subsampling approaches are compatible, (2) seek potential solutions that enhance compatibility enable eventual METHODOLOGY/PRINCIPAL FINDINGS: linear mixed models analyse the differences speed route length migration tracks 36 Black kites (Milvus migrans) satellite-tagged two types (Argos vs GPS tags), entailing regimes frequency. show generate large (up 33%) estimates this bird.
