摘要: Landslide is the most frequently occurring geo-hazard in mountainous terrains of world. It affects human life, infrastructures, landscapes, and properties as well their day-to-day activities. In current study area which found Gamo Zone south Ethiopia, recurrent landslide hazards have occurred. To minimize this hazard on life properties, susceptibility mapping an important step for environmental planning. For purpose, 1554 landslides 9 causative factors (both conditioning triggering factors) were used. Each thematic layer has different classes some these influence occurrence more than others. The influencing factor identified by frequency ratio model include slope between12 45°; convex concave curvature; aspect north, northeast, south, southwest directions; elevation between 2118 2492 m. distances factors, proximity to streams, lineaments 0–100 m 0–200 respectively a very high occurrences. Land use/land cover they levels direct indirect influences map was classified low, moderate, high, each accounting 17.8%, 29.19%, 28.55%, 17.52%, 6.91% respectively. evaluate reliability model, verified using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve with value 82% through field observation. Therefore, can be used local, zonal, regional, federal governments land use planning, disaster prevention, mitigation it offers first-hand information.
