Performance evaluation of bitumen modified by various types of waste plastics

摘要: Abstract This study investigates the performance of bitumen modified by three groups waste plastics (window, blinds and cable wastes) based polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Ten with modifier content 1%, 3%, 5% pure bitumens were tested characterized in accordance Superpave grading (PG) system. The experimental tests performed conventional tests, rotational viscosity (RV), dynamic shear rheometer (DSR) bending beam (BBR) tests. obtained results showed that addition PVC window wastes amount 1–3% improved at high temperatures. Despite advantages additives on temperatures, low temperatures was not affected these modifiers. Only Based this investigation it can be noted optimum usage as determined 3% wastes.
