摘要: Making a diagnosis of dementia, particularly in its early stages, person with intellectual disability can be difficult Some neuropsychological tests which were originally devised for the dementia non-intellectually disabled population have been modified use people disability. Observer-rated scales also used making Within context genetic study, rates according to different criteria, namely clinician's (ICD-10), Dementia Questionnaire Persons Mental Retardation (DMR), Scale Down Syndrome (DSDS) and Mini State Examination (MMSE), compared among 62 adults Down's syndrome (26 demented 36 non-demented diagnosis). A comparison between DMR criteria showed specificity sensitivity at 0.92 level both categories. Similarly, DSDS 0.89 0.85. good positive correlation was shown scores (Pearson's r = +0.868, P < 0.001). similar found overall score main subcategories DMR. An MMSE could performed only 34 (55%) out subjects syndrome. Out 30 who had an less than 24 (the usual cut-off possible dementia), 23 (77%) did not any criteria.
