Gender Differences in Reactions to Viewing Pornographic Vignettes

摘要: Abstract A dilemma in the current pornography literature is whether one can classify some types of as “degrading” and then accurately gauge individuals' motivations reactions. One feature commonly cited best example such degradation “cum shot.” In study, 375 male female undergraduate volunteers were shown four video tapes: original/unaltered condition, that omitted visual images ejaculation, two had soundtrack altered to accentuate either or acceptance themes. After viewing, participants completed Ratings Sexual Arousal (Mosher, 1987), Rating Enjoyment, Degradation Acceptance scales. Results revealed men reported greater sexual arousal enjoyment all videos rated them both more accepting less degrading; degrading voice-over decreased enjoyment; positively related ratings acceptance.
