摘要: Manufacturing of polymer composites using a curing process requires the specification temperature as function time, i.e., profile. It is utmost importance that selected profile satisfies number criteria which include minimum residual stresses, cure cycle time and full degree cure. The development stresses during one most important problems they affect strength mechanical properties final product adversely. object present study to determine optimal profiles used in order minimise these stresses. Numerical simulation based on model includes effects chemical thermal strains viscoelastic material behaviour. implemented conduct parametric observe trends characteristics stress history varying engineer controllable input parameters. gradients applied temperatures at different dwell times are identified essential An optimised this observation developed results study. achieves substantial reduction for fully cured compared manufacturer recommended cycles.
