摘要: In the electrokinetic treatment of heavy metal polluted soil, an alkaline environment is generated at cathode side. It provokes precipitation ions as hydroxides into soil and diminishes capability electroremediation to clean site. this work "polarity exchange" technique presented a simple way avoid negative effect OH(-) on transportation. This lies in operation during short time intervals inverted polarity, so that generation H+ from oxidation water neutralize zone where precipitated, favouring its dissolution. Once metals are redissolved, polarity set original position transport them desired direction. Kaolin clay contaminated with Mn was used test feasibility exchange technique. The application "conventional technique" dealt removal 14% initial 7.6d. For similar resulted 72% removed Mn. Successive exchanges will yield complete decontamination moderate increment electric power consumption.
