摘要: This chapter examines the program “Challenging Frontiers of Poverty Reduction” (CFPR) implemented by Bangladeshi non-governmental organization BRAC. The aimed to lift participants out extreme poverty within 2 years and facilitate their entry into mainstream development programs. To achieve this, combined interventions specifically tailored for ultra-poor with create an enabling environment ultra-poor. Experiences show that a participatory process involving local community, accommodating knowledge wisdom, is most pragmatic way identifying poorest households in community. However, meticulous implementation motivated workforce was also key success effort.
