摘要: This study has utilized the remote sensing and GIS datasets such as tree cover, harmonized land agriculture mask ancillary source of India for better comprehension cover percent distribution in geographical territory/vegetation classes/agro-ecological zones/agriculture landscapes. The revealed year 2000 forest area was 15.4% total area. Furthermore, (including single/double/continuous/rainfed area) found 63% approximately 10% retains at least which is roughly one-fourth global average. mean various vegetation types highest (76.4%) category “Tropical sub-tropical mountain forests, broadleaved, evergreen > 1000 m”. mixed deciduous dry forests” occupied high (14.4%) showed significantly low (15.1%). analysis agro-ecological zones those where rainfall soil fertility adequate categories “North Eastern Hills” (62.5%), “Eastern Himalayas” (60.0%) “Western Ghats Coastal Plain” (30.70%).
