摘要: Multimetallic complexes with extended and highly conjugated bis-2,2′:6′,2′′-terpyridyl bridging ligands, which present building blocks for coordination polymers, are investigated respect to their ability act as light-harvesting antennae. The species combine Ru(II)- Os(II)- Fe(II)-terpyridyl chromophores, the latter acting energy sinks. Due system ligands able prolong lifetime of 3MLCT states compared unsubstituted terpyridyl by delocalization energetic stabilization states. This concept is applied first time Fe(II) results in an exceptionally long 23 ps state. While partial (>80%) transfer observed between Ru(II) centers a time-constant 15 ps, excitation transferred completely from Os(II) center within 200 fs after excitation.
